On the campaign trail

I have managed to visit almost every home in Brookside and Oldtown. There are a lot of homes! I had the chance to meet many of you, and some of you even invited me in for tea and a chat. I received a lot of feedback on what you want, and I hope that if elected, I will have the opportunity to convey your concerns.
Some have asked why my signs are not placed with the others. It's simple: I am not part of a pact. I am independent and will always maintain that throughout my campaign and, hopefully, my term in office. I believe that forming pacts is not in the best interest of the voters. As representatives, we are paid to serve our town, constituents, and businesses. Having preconceived plans does a disservice to you, the voter. We should listen to our voters, not our friends.
Additionally, I have heard that a business is speaking negatively about me to their customers because they want their preferred candidates in office. I don't understand why this person didn't run for office themselves instead of trying to manipulate the situation. If you have a sign on your lawn, I am extremely grateful. Please don't be bullied into taking it down. You are an independent person and should be treated as such.
