It would be remiss of me not to mention a few facts so that you are informed. Out of the 7 candidates running for a council seat:
Three have sat on council before.
One missed 28% of all meetings. Can they be more present this time?
One stormed out of a meeting when things were not going their way and mocked a council member by pretending to doze off at their laptop whilst they were speaking.
One faced ridicule, harassment, had their integrity and religious beliefs questioned. Yet still stood firm and strived for a better town.
The thing each one had in common is they all were only one vote. Despite the hatred going around for past council, they all failed as a team to bring unity to council.
As residents, it is up to you to get informed. If you really want change, then vote for candidates that can demonstrate independence and not a buddy system. A buddy system is not good for a town council.
Bruderheim is on the cusp of great things. Lamont has been approved for a processed water facility. This will give them water, gas, and rail, spurring billions of dollars of investment by oil companies. Let's embrace it and be a partner for the betterment of our town.
Ron Ewasuik claimed the Fort had sold its soul to the devil. I say let's not look a gift horse in the mouth.
